hot and humid

It is like the tropics here in NE lately. Thundershowers in the afternoon and evenings.... For some reason, I am still not well. Whatever I have, it doesn't want to go away. Therefore, I will just note that I am patiently waiting to get well. Studio work is still in progress, which is great. Looking foreward to more progress.

I'm so excited!

ONLY because my husband, Bob, and helper, Mike, started working on my studio space today. A new floor is being placed down as I type, most of it done after a full day's work. The new windows will be in next week, and the new wall will go up! I am sooooooo happy! Now, to think about where I am going to put everything. Now, that's a challenge.

At Last

Feeling better, finally. It was like being in a rainforest last night and today in western New Enland. Rain forecasted for the rest of the week too. I am so happy to be feeling better. Sent off the altered book to N.S. today, and started working on the faerie slippers. Will be teaching on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for a while for the month of June and July. Lots and lots of reading and prep work to do for the classes, so.......art work will be to relax in small spaces of time. Interesting class that I am teaching--multicultural art therapy. I am psyched.

Sunday Sunday

I haven't written as I have not felt well, and still do not feel up to par. I think it is a virus, and hope it leaves soon. I have been taking my mind off my not feeling good by doing some art work when I could. I completed a page in an altered book and will be sending it off in tomorrow's mail. I have been asked to teach a summer class due to an emergency (instructor illness/hospitalization), and will be teaching on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for the remainder of the summer--until August, I think. My son, Buddy, returned from New Hampshire (Bike week) and brought me a shirt and one for my husband too. His band (The Lobsterz from Marz) played a gig at The Barnaroo Festival at the old Powdermill Barn in Ct. last night. He said it was great...played outside under the sky until around 2 in the a.m. Good news from my husband, Bob! He is going to do somework tomorrow on my studio room! YES! The Sox are on: 10th inning, 3 to 3. Will they win? It took them 8 innings to catch up and tie the game. Oh, those Red Sox. Time to start working on some tiny faerie slippers for another swap. Will post a picture of them when I finish all 3 pairs. They are just too cool.

Posting photos of some of my button collection. They are little treasures that I love to look at.

Success

Yes! After 3 tries, I finally got the audio to work. I am happy. Little by little I am learning how to get my blog working to my satisfaction. I hope to add more as time goes on and make it as interesting as possible for all to view. .......It is a fantastically awesome beautiful perfect day today. I think it is time for me to go out to run some errands and to enjoy it..........AND...........the Celtics game was one to remember. We are the champions!

busy day and nothing done

I don't know where the time goes! Seems like I just got up and it's time to start dinner already. No artwork done today... Tonight is the Celtic's/Lakers game in Boston, and I know I am going to give that my full attention. Joined another art group today, but I am not sure I will stay. I will give it a week or two to check out the action. I finished 2 faerie slippers yesterday, and I am very pleased with them. I had fun making them and look forward to making 2 more sets. Waiting for another set of AT cards so that I can complete the swap, and am still involved with the altered book swap. I'll probably begin another art project tomorrow that is due in July. I have to post them where I can see them so that I won't forget what I'm doing! I've got that elderly disease: CRS. Have to write everything down. time to get going.....

Would you believe it?

I did it! I went ahead and did it--created a blog. I never thought I would, but I just couldn't resist. It is all about joining an mail art swap group that requires that one has a blog! The things one does for love of art. Well, here goes everything. Today I worked on art all day long making little tiny faerie slippers for one of my Yahoo group art swaps. I was having such a great time focusing on that one little felt slipper and the choices made to embellish it. One done, one to go. I love them!
