Altered Round Robin Book Swap

Here is the altered book that I have been working on. All that needs to be completed is the front cover and spine lettering. It was fun and thought provoking. Will be sending it out the first week of May sometime. Now, on to some canvas paintings of flowers that I was requested to place in a local open house for a new aromatherapy business opening.

New Resident

Had to share a photo my husband, Bob, took of the bird nest made in the light fixture above our sliding glass door of the deck. She took residence at the end of March, and she has been minding her nest. The nest is plainly visible from our kitchen window and we can watch her sitting on her nest. I am sure we will be blessed with seeing her eggs hatch. Bob turned off the light so that she will not be disturbed and so that no harm will come to her and her nest.

new buttons

Today I went to the MSBS Button meeting and found some buttons in the "poke box". Most of them were wooden buttons, and others miscellaneous. I found two fabric buttons, one a really nice fabric button, known as a "passementerie" button.... I love these handmade older buttons.

work in progress

These are photos of a wall mural that I began when we were in FL in January through March of this year. It is located in the small dining room area of our condo. The first picture is of the wall prep, then sketched and painted in somewhat, then worked throughout. It continues to be a work in progress, with at least 10 more hours of work, or maybe 15 more hours until completion.

Krystal & Zach's Engagement Party

Here are a few photos of the party. We had a great time and met Zach and his family. Included in the photos are pictures of Krystal and Zach; some friends of theirs who I don't know; Zach's parents-Cathy and Bob; my husband, Bob, with our sons, Beau and Buddy (Krystal's Dad). Also, Wendy, (Krystal's mom) is pictured with Krystal's brother (Tyler) and sister (Aly); and last, but not least, Buddy and Wendy (Krystal's dad and mom). I have been trying to put the photos on with captions and to stagger them; however, it is not working. Sooooo, all aforementioned know who they are!
